Curriculum Intent

At Stoke Heath, we participate in a bespoke and personalised curriculum which reflects the creative heritage of our locality, the UK and the wider world. This gives us the experience to explore our creativity to encourage curiosity, self-expression & self-reflection to develop and build on our cultural capital, knowledge and the skills we arrive at our school with. This allows us to thrive and contribute to life in Stoke Heath, Coventry and 21st Century Britain. 

As Artists we will: 

·        learn to produce creative work, exploring our ideas and recording our art learning journey.

·        learn to become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and printing techniques.

·        understand how to evaluate and analyse the creative work of a variety of artists, craft makers and designers as well as our own, using the language of art, craft and design.

·        learn about our local creative heritage, alongside great artists, craft makers and designers from the UK and beyond, to understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms.
